As I don’t seem to ever have time to write a proper post about it, I’ll share a video of our recent Christmas wintersport occasion.

We decided to go to the Paradiski region (where I’ve been six years ago). The region is comprised of three large resorts: La Plagne , Les Arcs , and Peisey-Vallandry .

Back in 2017 we stayed in La Plagne , this time we booked a hotel in Peisey-Vallandry , but snowboarded mostly in Les Arcs (and one day in La Plagne ).

Sugar cylinders and coffee hemispheres

Today I’ve experienced a real paradigm shift. As I’ve found out, cubes are not the only shape you find sugar formed into (which has been my conviction for more then four decades to now). There also exist sugar cylinders!

Wintersport: Les Sybelles, France

Last time I enjoyed snowboarding in the mountains so much that I’ve decided to do that once more, straight away. The next season is a year away, so why wait? After all, I’m now a freelancer, ain’t I?

There was also another reason to come back to the mountains: I’ve recently got the GoPro Hero 5 action camera, which yearned to be used!

Preface

We had planned our trip to the French ski resort La Plagne well in advance, so ever since October last year I’ve been counting days down. My previous wintersport occasion in Sölden had only left good memories (and a couple of bruises, too, but that’s unimportant).
